Aoife Sexton is the chief privacy officer at Trūata, a data anonymization and analytics firm, and a CGOC faculty member. She is a technology and privacy lawyer with over 25 years of experience working in and with companies in the technology sector. Prior to Trūata, she worked in private practice advising emerging and established technology companies—particularly those offering data-centric products and services such as data analytics, SaaS, and cloud computing—on adapting business models to data protection laws, embedding privacy-by-design into day-to-day operations, developing proactive corporate strategies to demonstrate compliance, and managing cross-border data transfers and multi-jurisdictional product launches. Sexton is a graduate of University College Dublin (BCL) and a postgraduate of the College of Europe (Bruges). She is a Certified Data Protection Practitioner (PC.dp) and holds the IAPP privacy qualification CIPP/E.
