Ariel Parnes
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer at Mitiga
Ariel Parnes is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Mitiga. In this role, he drives the operational execution and strategic initiatives that help organizations prepare for, detect and respond to cyber threats in cloud environments. A veteran technology and cybersecurity leader, Ariel leverages over two decades of experience in building advanced cyber defense capabilities and leading high-performance teams. Prior to co-founding Mitiga in 2020, Ariel had a distinguished 20+ year career in the Israel Defense Forces’ elite Unit 8200, where he served in a broad range of leadership roles spanning intelligence, information technology, and both offensive and defensive cyber operations. He rose to the rank of Colonel and eventually founded and headed the unit’s cyberwarfare department. During his service, Ariel led pioneering cyber warfare initiatives and was awarded the prestigious Israel Defense Prize for technological breakthroughs in cybersecurity. Ariel holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and lives with his family in NYC.
