In late December last year, Mario Greco, the chief executive of insurance giant Zurich sent shockwaves through the business world when he announced that cyberattacks are set to become uninsurable. Julia O’Toole is the founder and CEO of MyCena Security Solutions, a cybersecurity organisation dedicated to helping enterprises take back their digital access control. Through its unique technology, MyCena encrypts and segments employee access credentials. Because users don’t know their passwords, they cannot be stolen or phished. As all doors are independently locked and encrypted, criminals cannot move laterally inside a network after an initial access breach, take over the whole network and launch a ransomware attack. Julia has invented and authored multiple patents, using maths, neuroscience and technology to deliver innovative solutions to solve complex problems. Julia holds a degree in computational and applied mathematics from the Paris Dauphine University.
