Robert Haynes is an SCA and open source evangelist at Checkmarx. Possessing over 25 years of IT experience, Robert has held roles ranging from helpdesk analyst to Unix sysadmin to technical sales and marketing. An unapologetic generalist, Robert’s interest is always captured by the practical application of technology in real-world situations. Over the years, he has spoken at several IT conferences including, AWS re:Invent, Infosecurity Europe, and O’Reilly Velocity, while also being quoted in news outlets such as TechRepublic, Cybersecurity Dive, and DevOps.com. Robert graduated from the University of Cardiff with a first-class honors degree in applied biology and maintains a side hobby of marveling at the advances in genetic manipulation and synthetic biology over the succeeding decades.
