Felix Bauer studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge before starting work with the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems in Germany. Together with the current CTO Sebastian Eide and Chief Scientist Paul Francis (the institute’s Scientific Director), he founded Aircloak in 2014 with the intent of finding a technical solution for one of the most pressing questions of today: how to utilize the increasing amount of personal information collected safely, legally and simply. Felix has been active as a speaker in the field of privacy and security, for example as a keynote speaker at CeBIT, at IoT-policy panels in Brussels or at Cisco Germany’s IT-Security event “Deutschland Digital”. In his free time, he likes to conquer the waves by sailing.
